| Last night was a horrible night at work. I was order taker one,
and that means my job is to take orders and do change at the same time;
however, I do that all the time, so it should not have been that
bad. However, my co-worker on the other headset was storing his
orders before mine, and cars were driving around the ones in front of
them. Thus, all the orders were messed up, and I had to double
check everyone, which is very time consuming and it makes it hard to
reach the 90 second goal. Not to forget, that not catching a
mistake would be horrible because they clog up drive thru for a
while. Over my 6 hours of work, I missed two orders and they both
held up drive-thru for 5 minutes, not fun. To make matters worse
the costumers that dump exact change in your hand and speed off before
you can verify the amount, I calll them dump-and-runs, they could not
count. I know CT is all about this liberal that there is not such
thing "Right and Wrong," but THERE IS A RIGHT AND WRONG WAY TO MAKE
EXACT CHANGE. At least 36 cars dumped- and-run with not exact
change. Some were over, but most were under the right
amount. I got so sick of this, that after one guy gave me $0.86
for a $1.06 order. I jumped out the window and caught up to him,
and he apologised, which made me happy. However, since the
customer is always right, I told him "It's okay, all is well that ends
well." Then ran back and jumped back into my window, and got back into
my McGroove. I may have been tired, and frusterated the whole
time, but it never showed. I was praying constatnly for God to
give me "skill, sanity, and smiles." Andrew, the guy on the
pother head set, "You are too nice. It is almost scary." So being
good yesterday at work was all due to God's strength, not my own.
There was one scary when I made what could have been
a big booboo. I was conferming a lady's order by asking "You
wanted that iced coffee diet?" That was mistake, I should have
said decafe because we do not have diet iced coffee. They
replied, "What did you say? Are you trying to give me a hint? You can
not tell anything. I'm sitting down." I thought "Oh no! She
thinks I just called her fat! My reputation as role-model employee is
over." I then had a look of fear on my face that said, "I did
mean it, please do not kill me." They lady smiled back and said, "I'm
just joking. You know there are some people around here who are
not uptight." I then brought my smile back, and gave a sigh of
reliefe. The lady said with a smile, "But just some of us. Have a
nice night." Thus she hinted that the other 90% of the people
around would have broken my legs, but she is nice. Praise God,
even when I mess up He has got my back by having it be to the one
costumer that wouldn't kill me.

| I miss LVC, and I can not wait to go back. I love my family, my
church, and my freinds here in CT, but that is it. There is a big
differenace betweem the Farmington Valley and Lebanon Valley. The
former was a good fire to be forged in, but the latter is the paradise
I want to return to. My dream, God willing, is that I one day
marry a great LVC girl, and then we settle in central PA. The
rest of my family and friends from CT can settle in PA or neighboring
states too. I will write in my myspace about more of the
differances between the two valleys. I can not wait to go back to LVC.

| Today was full of a couple mini-miracles. First, after a fun
night of hanging out with Matt, I had to work 9 hours at McDonalds on
only 6 hours of sleep. I can do this well at college because you
can take frequent breaks, and if you zone out for five minutes or
forget to smile, nothing bad happens. However, McDonalds is
different. One has to smile to defuse the anger and hurried
costumers. If one spaces out in Drive-throu for a moment, than
the chaos of a backed up drive though ensues. Also, like in
music, 90% correct is not good enough. Only 100% correctness is
satisfactory. God renewed my strength and got me though a great
shift at work. McDonalds in thus reinforcing values I will need
as a teacher. Like at Mcdonalds, a teacher always needs to be on
their pleasant A-game and never doze off. Second, like music and
McDonalds, teaching requires the desire to be the perfect teacher and
not a mediocre one. Lastly, God got me through work with flying
colors, and when I teach, I can just rely on him again and he will make
my teaching successful too.

| There is so much to be thankful for. First God for his love,
grace, and esecaily his son dying to save me of my sins and giving me
eternal life. I also should thank him for getting me through the
times in the semester when I thought I might not be able to make it to
the end. Another great blessing He has given me is a wonderful
and loving family which is going to extend even more when Sarah and
Zach get married this June! I loved having thanks giving with them:
my nuclear family, grandparents, the Fischettis, and the Martins
(Zach's family). It was wonderful to say the least. What a
great blessing it has been to have another great semester with all my
old friends from LVC. You guys make LVC the land of milk and
honey! THe good times at Day Break, PHD, DTE, SOC,LCBC, and CRs.
I'm also quite grateful for my friends back in CT, who, in addition to
seeing my family, make going back to that blue state worth while.
I feel bad about not keeping in touch as well this semester with them,
but I'll make it up to them over winter break, and I'll do more next
semester. Praise God for keeping safe all my friends abroud this
semester! I look foward to seeing you guys again. Also, thank God
for all the freshmen and new friends whom I've gotten to know;
You guys rock! I also thank the Lord for my wonderful roomate,
who is a great friend, who spurrs me on to grow in my faith, and who
took me with his family on Wednesday so I wouldn't be alone on
campus; Ryan is the man. In this breif note about thankful
I am for the Lord's blessings, at least one thing is clear, God is good.
